Basing on years development and operating experience, the embedded power system is a newly-designed product, which is of high performance and high reliability. The system size is standard 19in. /3U, can be embedded into all kinds of telecom equipments and cabinets. It is also of wide range of input voltage and operating temperature, high efficiency and the hot plug makes it is easy for maintenance.
1. System operating principle
AC power is first input AC-INPUT circuit breaker and then fed into the rectifier module after the EMI filtering. AC-INPUT functions as over load and short circuit protection to AC power. Load LVD contactors KM1, KM2 are connected in series with the LOAD1 and LOAD2. The user’s battery is connected to the DC output through BAT circuit breaker and KM2, and the circuit breaker provides disconnection control, over-load and short-circuit protection to the battery.
Under normal conditions, every parameter of rectifier modules and distribution unit are all under control of the monitoring module, operating according to the pre-set parameter or user’s commands. If AC mains fault, the battery will power to the system. With the battery discharge, the terminal voltage of the battery starts to descend. When the battery voltage drops to below -47V (settable), the monitoring module will report the DC under-voltage alarm signal. When the voltage drops to -45.0V (settable), the monitoring module will make KM1 cut off LOAD1 while retaining LOAD2.The power system just powers to LOAD2. When the voltage drops below -43.0V (settable), the KM2 acts to cut off LOAD2 output, then the power system stops working. When the external AC mains recovers, the system will resume to the normal work state. (All above monitoring data are system default values, users can reset).
Except for battery over-discharge protection, battery or load over-temperature protection function is prohibitive under default condition, users can send command to activate or inactivate according to the demand.
